Texas Wildfire Training provides relevant, cost-effective training that meets the needs of Texas Firefighters. Our primary audience is structural fire departments who respond to wildfire and wildland-urban interface incidents. Our Basic Wildland Firefighter certification course meets all TCFP standards and allows students to test for state certification as basic wildland firefighters.
Traditionally, structural firefighters who respond to wildfire and wildland-urban interface incidents are given training by wildland firefighters who may not have any experience outside of that world. TWT instructors are municipal firefighters who have significant experience in the wildfire environment. This allows to better explain wildland firefighting concepts to our target audience and make them relatable. Our broad experience allows us make the training relevant to what it is your personnel are actually going to do.
Texas Wildfire Training, LLC is certified by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection to administer Basic Wildland Firefighter certification courses (FIDO #12185).
Texas Wildfire Training lead instructors are all certified to TCFP Instructor III and are qualified Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) Engine Bosses.
With our program, your organization will recieve instruction that not only meets the minimum TCFP Basic Wildland Firefighter requirements for certification, but a class that is tailored to the needs of Texas firefighters.
